HERITAGE AGRICULTURE OF ARKANSAS, SERVING ARKANSAS AND SURROUNDING FARMERS SINCE 1966.
Claud Cash grew up on the family farm in Trumann, Arkansas. While attending Arkansas State University in Jonesboro, he worked at Trumann Implement Company. With dealership experience under his belt, he went to work for the International Harvester Company in Memphis, Tennessee as an accountant after graduation. In 1966, he was fortunate to return home and buy Trumann Implement Co. with his uncle Jimmy Moon. Although Jimmy was Claud’s uncle, they were more like brothers and enjoyed a productive partnership for many years. They acquired dealerships in Jonesboro, Weiner and Hoxie. In the mid 1980s, they decided to divide their assets with Claud keeping Trumann and Hoxie and Jimmy keeping Jonesboro and Weiner.
In 1987, Claud along with longtime friend and business partner, Bob Pittman, acquired Carlisle Implement Co., Inc. in Carlisle, Arkansas and later Arkansas County Farm Equipment in Stuttgart and DeWitt. By this time Trumann was closed. Claud then entered the political world and served two terms in the Arkansas House of Representatives and one term in the Arkansas Senate.
In 2004, Claud lost his battle with cancer. At this time Claud’s wife, Joan, assumed the role as not only the head of our family, but the head of our company. Joan has been, and is today, involved in every aspect of the business. Joan also served two terms in the Arkansas House of Representatives from 2007-2010.
Long-time partner and good friend, Bob Pittman, retired in 2010. This left Joan’s son, Greg Cash, and son-in-law, Mike Linton, with the responsibility of the day-to-day operation of our company. Greg grew up in the business, and Mike entered the business in 1988. Together they are a strong team.
In 2010, we changed our company name to Heritage Agriculture of Arkansas with locations in Hoxie, Pocahontas, Carlisle, Stuttgart and DeWitt. Today, our company is strong as is our family of four grandsons and one granddaughter. The Cash and Linton family, along with our 80 plus employees, invite you to come join our family as we look forward to serving you!
